An HHI Championships can be contested at a time and a place to suit the athletes. A title can only be contested once in each calendar year. The winner of the contest will be crowned the Club Champion, and will remain so until the title is contested again. Anyone can request that a Club Championships title be contested. To make such a request, just follow these steps:
- Ask your coach to make a request to the Championships Secretary (Zac), or ask him directly yourself.
- Identify the title that is to be contested.
- Nominate a competition where you wish the title to be contested, or request that a less formal competition be organised to suit the athletes.
It is possible the initial suggestion will be declined because other athletes have not received fair notice. However if the request is made late in the year, this consideration will carry less weight, for fear of the year expiring before a title is contested.
- Once the Championships Secretary has confirmed that all interested athletes are aware that a title is to be contested, the competition may proceed.
- The Championships Secretary will establish the result of the competition, and certificates or medals will be issued. The top three athletes will be recognised on this website. The title will not be contested again within the same calendar year.
